Oh god, I am alive. That's a really huge effort. Psychology Ball 2006, WOOO. It was a big one. Much bigger than last year I do believe. We'll do photos and stories together.
Before the drinking began...
Daniel, Katie, Myself, Rhys. Masks really detract from peoples faces so bad. ps. please look at how hot my shoes are. SO hot. So so so much pain. But they are pretty much the hottest pair of shoes I own. Gold snakeskin stilletos '4tw'.
This photo is probably my favourite one I had taken of me all night cause my hair looks like the smoothest and silkiest hairs you've ever seen in your life.
It's Rein aka Batman!!
Goran and Matty, aww. I love them so much it's not even funny.
Katie, Candy and Jess. Action shots are the best.
They were aware this time though.
Leah had a great time with the mask!
Ben's Katie and Ben! I'm so glad that she didnt get the whole BLACK DRESS memo our table had.
See what I mean?
HAPPY TIMES
HAPPY TIMES PART 2
Everyone went to a lot of efforts with their masks. Ben should have won best mask by far. Roughly cut out mask with black pencil scribbled on it. AWESOME.
I love how you can pinpoint when the alcohol started being absorbed..
Aww!!!! I'm so glad I brought Rein as my date last year and that they hooked up and that they're still together :(
Eyes just look SO DUMB in masks.
Completely dumb :(
Should've stopped drinking at around this point :|
But some people were still good happy times!
This is my friend John, but his name is really Giovanni and I will forever think of him as that after seeing his licence back in first year. We became buds because I was fascinated after sitting next to him in a lecture back in 2004, and instead of taking lecture notes, he was doing the most AWESOME illustration of him drawing at that point in time. Like 3 months later when we finally spoke I was like I WANT THAT DRAWING YOU DID!! slightly creepy on my behalf, yes :|
John is in my project group this year, as are these girls. Daphne, Bianca, Yours truly and Tania. Or as Moshi said when she saw the photos 'the wog squad' hahah. Our group pretty much is the most ethnic one, but maybe it works well for us! Anyway, those girls are such fun times and I forgot to tell you Moshi and Ricardo and whoever else, Daphne knows CHRIS VLAKAGANIS HAHAH.
Katie was being nice tonight! It was really exciting.
Why drink out of my glass when I have a bottle..
I think he drank out of the bottle :|
Attack of the helium balloons. Such good squeaky fun!
Oh god haha. This is Johnson. One of those people in your course where you know their name, but never actually spoken to them. I saw him sitting at his table alone and was like 'aww kate, johnson is sitting all alone :(' and so that was her cue to start screaming JOHNSON!!! JOHNSON!!!1 and he came over and was like HI! and shes like HI, I'VE NEVER MET YOU BEFORE :| and then everyone became good buds.
This is completely my favourite photo ever. Sums up the night in one photo.
And just because it's one of the weirdest things to have ever happened to me, here's a chuckles story with no photographic evidence to accompany it.
I've become buds with some postgrad guy over the past couple of weeks and I was walking past and said hi etc. Then his friend next to him was like OH MY GOD ELIZABETH HI!! DO YOU REMEMBER ME?!
I'm like 'uhh from where?' (i have a fantastic memory for faces.. had no clue)
'We went to school together!!'
'Which school?'
'Um... damnit. I didn't think that far ahead. I've heard a lot about you and thought that would be fun.'
That story then progressed... every time I saw him, he would introduce me to whoever he was with as 'I went to school with this girl!' .... 'We went out during high school for 3 weeks then she dumped me :(' REALLY WEIRD.
But it was okay and he ended up being a good kid and those guys kept me company at the after party where pretty much everyone RAN HOME and little Elizabeth was left to fend for herself with no real good buds around and no way to get home. How independent and confident of me. OR maybe its a testimate to how much alcohol I actually consumed that evening. Jeremy rescued me from having to wander around at 4am to find a taxi and one day he'll know how much I appreciated it.
And thats the end. Psych Ball night 2006 ended with me passing out at 5am and still not feeling completely right at 6pm. BUT IT WAS A GOOD NIGHT. Well worth the effort.
