Jerry Jose made me install
Firefox 3 because he said it was faster and totally the sh*t so I did. And lost most of my firefox plugins. Boo! No more permatabs, and tab mix plus and all sorts of stuff. But I was ok with that, thinking they would certainly have new versions of the add ons soon. They totally want everyone to love Firefox 3! There was even a
Firefox 3 Download Day. But NO! I couldn't get the Java uploader to work in
my Multiply site so that was the end of that. I uninstalled Firefox, downloaded Firefox 2 and installed that one again. Thanks to foxmarks, I still have all my personalized settings even if I had uninstalled the program. Yay! I am back to happy.

When my cousin and his girlfriend had their first anniversary, he took her out to a fancy restaurant. To me it felt like a big deal because their anniversary fell on a Sunday and he missed dinner at our grandmother's to be with the girl. Which made me ask Mike, hey what did we do on our first anniversary? Because for the life of me, I cannot remember. And neither could he. Today, months later, I remembered again that I had forgotten, so I went back on my archives to find out.
Nov. 1st, 2003 at 6:46 PM In other news, Mike and I celebrated our first year anniversary yesterday. By doing nothing really that special or fantastic (half the time we were in separate quarters at The Spa. harhar!) other than having a good meal or two, and then some good dessert and coffee, all the while with lots of good conversation.
We're also negotiating an ammendment to the date of our anniv. Hehehe. I want it nearer his birthday, he wants it right on top of mine. Or on Christmas. Pero ayaw ko. I proposed finding the day right smack in the middle of our two birthdays. He doesn't seem amenable. I guess the negotiations will take a while. ;)
PS. Oh yes and when we had our dessert/coffee in San Francisco Coffee, he got me that little hug-a-mug teddy bear. :) Awww.. sooo cute! It's now hugging my bag. Best thing about that teddy, it doesn't have any ads on it. No endorsements so you wouldn't know where it came from just by looking at it. And it's not so expensive either. :) happy!
And then I remembered. He asked me what I wanted to do, and aIl I wanted was a massage. So we went to The Spa in Libis. And that was it. It set the precedent for other unmemorable anniversaries. It's not that we don't remember. We remember every year because as the JVP midyear comes, so comes our anniv. We just don't go out of our way to make an event of it. Of course, we were married almost to the day of our 3rd Anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend so I guess a wedding is a great celebration. But even getting married didn't change that. Our first anniversary was spent in
Punta Fuego with my relatives marked only by greetings from everyone. And on our second, we had dance practice for
Nana's Birthday at my parents' house. So we treated everyone to Yellow Cab Pizza.
This may sound weird but I didn't feel the need to make a big deal out of our first bf-gf anniversary because I always knew we would be together forever. That this relationship would be measured by decades and not years. I like that our anniversaries can pass by unmarked by a special celebration, but that on random days, Mike would come home with some pizza or flowers (which I would have asked for. and then be surprised that he actually remembered. so surprise pa rin naman) and that would be a mini-party in itself. That we tell each other and show each other that we love each other all the time and whenever we want, and not just when an occasion calls for it.
Mike travels for work frequently, and his hobbies sometimes keep him out till late at night. He has a lot of "jobs" and rarely has time to rest. But he always makes time for me and our girls. No marriage is perfect, certainly not ours. But everyday, I feel loved and blessed to be married to Mike. Not just once a year, but all the time, the whole year through.

I love that I look better here than I did at my prom. Haha!
