The 21st
So I failed to completely surprise Qibin despite the meticulous planning and scheming. We (Marcus and I ) booked a room at Resort World Sentosa way before the actual day, roped in some of his classmates to distract him on the afternoon of the 22nd of May so that I could head to his house to take the stuff he needed for the stayover, planned a mini potluck (suggested by jezreel) on the beach and then had a little party in the room after dinner.
But he was too smart and realised almost instantly that we had something up our sleeves. Anyway, we proceeded with the plan and he was still mildly shock or acted shock just so that our efforts wouldn't go to waste!
The room at RWS was awesome - in case you'd want a look at the Family Delux room at Festive Grand Hotel (the suites are not available yet). It comes with a comfy queen/king sized bed
An awesome deck bed and a sofa bed!
It was kind of the main attraction of the room that night -
We sat on a beach for an hour playing taboo and talking about random nonsense before the birthday boy headed over with his classmates:P
So we headed back to the room after Nat and Andrea arrived and after gettting sand on our feet, moquito-bitten and feeling exhausted from rushing around the entire day! Then we gave Qb his present, not before having a short hunt!
And then the few of them failed to get Qb drunk but were pretty high on drinks themselves instead:P Oh, especially marcus.
I'm quite a failure at surprise parties but at least it was pretty fun and staying at RWS was definitely quite an experience:D What's more important was that Qb had an awesome 21st :D
