long time no journal
i actually just got back from denny's. and wal-mart. i feel dirty. don't judge me. it was actually a good thing. i was there with eh' steve. he wanted to buy a zippo. i ended up buying 3 old switchfoot cd's for $15. i think it was a deal. steve needs prayer. steve needs to learn to pray. and read the bible. he doesn't believe he can for some reason. it makes me sad, because he is my brother. he has three years probation right now.
i am totally in love with God right now. and everyone in my life. i love you all. if you haven't read m. robert mulholland jr.'s "Invitation to a Journey" i think you should. maybe it is just me, but when i read it i felt like i was being confronted by a reality of christianity that i had forgotten in my past several years of trying to live up to an ambiguous set of christian standards imposed by my own perseptions of God and others. i am in love again.
i got back last thursday from 5 days of missionary orientation. it was very informative and well... orienting. i'm definately more focused. oh, and those 5 days were definatly spent at headquarters. thats right. the vatican of the wesleyan church. just so you know, instead of michaelangelo it is full of thomas kinkade. what were you expecting? it's ok just make sure you visit the third floor.
i like the GP staff. they are all quite wonderfull. and i am psyched. and just in case you were wondering what it is that i will be doing. well it is pretty much settled. i am going to be the assistant to the area director for the Karis People. if you want to know what that is all about you will have to talk to me personally. keep me in your prayers.
