A Happy Sunday (for once)
My friend Ryan and I saw Volver last night. What an amazing film. Of course, I love just about all of Pedro Almodovar's movies, especially Law of Desire and Talk to Her. I love the colors, the conversations, the music and the characters in his films. And because this movie deals a lot with the relationship between mothers and their children it carries a great emotional weight for me. Substitute me for Penelope Cruz in this movie and you'd capture the essence of the relationship between my mother and I.
I'm in a really good mood today. I've been listening to music and doing housework all day but it's been a lot of fun. Who'd have known such a small apartment could get so dirty. Overall, this week off has been really good for me. I've been enjoying the time to play games, hang out with friends and Thanksgiving with (what remains of) the family was very pleasant. It's really sad knowing I have to go back to work. Especially since I've been off 3 of the last 5 weeks. Oh well.
