(no subject)
I went to see Gangshow with Youngju yesterday. It's a revue type thing that Scouts Australia (that's the actual Scouts and their Scout leaders) put on every year. It was OK but not the type of thing I'd ever go to see of my own accord.
I got a little bit bored when they were singing the originals. I don't even know if they were originals actually or just pulled from some obscure source. They were pretty bad though. I amused myself by trying to spot the Frank Black lookalike on stage. Seriously, this guy looked exactly like him. I think Frank Black is kind of odd looking and it's not really every day that I see someone who looks like his long lost twin.
I think a girl I went to Uni with was in the show too...Amanda. I so wouldn't have picked her for the performing type but then again, she was only in the chorus, didn't have any solos or anything. And although performing doesn't seem like her thing, Scouts does. Definitely.
Youngju is well. We are both excited to see Dianne again. Youngju thinks that she'll be more "sedated" when we see her but we discussed that at length for a while before I gave up...I didn't really know the point she was driving at but I got the feeling there was something behind what she was saying. Anyway, I can't imagine Dianne being sedate. I think it would be like expecting Youngju or me to be sedate.
Anyway, a good day. I think we spent more time on public transport than we did at any actual activity along the way though.
Seeing the girls on August 14! Woo! Seeing Dianne probably sometime before that! Woo again!
Back at work on Tuesday! Definitely...not woo.
