Fly the ocean in a silver plane. See the jungle when it's wet with rain.

Just remember 'till you're home again...you belong to me.

Have I ever told you people how much I love my daddy?

...

The phone rang while I moped over the bowl of noodle about the fact that I was sitting at the restaurant, eating alone.

"What are you doing, still outside of the house so late?" The voice from the phone asked accusingly.

Confused, I checked my watch. "It's only 4 in the afternoon, daddy." I replied.

"Oh." He said. "It's 6 in the morning here."

"I know, daddy."

"I thought when it's daytime here, it is night time there." He said.

"Yes, but since it is only early morning there, it is only afternoon here."

"Oh, your changing time confuse me." He referred to the Daylight Saving Time.

I laughed. "It's only an hour, dad. The same day-to-night rule still applies."

Changing the subject, he continued. "I called your house and your voice wasn't there. Is everything okay?"

I took my personalized message off recently and have been using the automated answering message. "It's okay, dad. I was just too lazy to record the message, so I use the one that comes with the phone."

"Oh, I was worried that I have the wrong number. But I left a message anyway. Although, you don't have to call me back because I'm already talking to you." Then, he put on his "business" voice. "I watched the news, are you surviving the pig-flu?"

I laughed. "No one has turned into a pig, yet. We all are fine, daddy." I told him.

"Mexico is very close to where you are. Just to be safe, you should come home!" He chimed into the phone. I could actually picture him, beaming with his cleverness, on the other side of the phone.

Good God, I LOVE MY DADDY!

j'adore, daddy's girl
