What a day for a daydream?
Did you guys see the eclipse last night? Huh? Huh?? Did ya?
It was amazing.
It already started when I left my office around 6pm. And for a good hour after that, the giant continued to eat the moon.
"I'd rather continue to look down at the fresh spring grass, thank you very much." *Nom-nom-nom.* Groucho snorted and gave me a sideway glance.
Vodkaa and Warlock, on the other hand, danced under the shadow of the eclipsed moonlight. Vodkaa, especially, was very excited. I told them that if they dance well, the giant will be pleased and he will give us the moon back.
I sat and watched them galloping around, bucking, and standing on 2 feet. Miss Lucy moseyed over and sat down next to me. We watched the boys dance and were much delightly entertained.
The giant was pleased with the dance and returned the moon to us. We marched victoriously back to the barn under the bright full moon with pride of heroes.
Mister Gentle came and greeted us at the gate. "The moon tried to run away", he said.
"No, it's not." Vodkaa corrected. "The giant want to eat the moon, and we have to dance to get the moon back from the giant." Vodkaa was beaming. He was very proud of his accomplishment.
Gentle was very sad that he didn't get to go dance and save the moon with us because he hurt his ankle. I told him that I will help him take care of his ankle so that it will heal quickly, and the next time the giant come to eat the moon again, we'll all go to the pasture and dance together.
