I think it's been like a century or something since my last post.
I was rollin high in my saddle for a good number of months. I'd gotten a pay increase and transferred to another store where the people there were awesome and I loved them. I even bought a new car instead of repairing the old nissan. I was even going to be living in Sylmar (or nearby area) with Derik and attend CSUN for the completion of my B.S. degree.

yes, my world came crumbling down when these words were spoken "We're closing the store."
Because I have the least seniority as a technician within the district I have been forced to take a "voluntary demotion" in order to keep my job. This entails no longer working in the pharmacy, no instead I've been sent back to Starbucks. I've also been docked in my pay. and to boot, they are still using the sanitizer that rips my hands apart. Oh yeah, and my union rep. has not returned my calls in four weeks. All applications for transfer to a different pharmacy or for a job somewhere else are on hold because I am stuck here in this hole until June when my A.S. is completed.
Now I realize that I'm lucky and all to have a job, and at least I don't live on my own or have kids and whatnot, but since when does a company that gives you a promotion turn around and use that against you? who just decides that because your paperwork never came to his desk that he doesn't care what happens to you and sends you back to wherever you came from? and who the fuck in Boise thinks that destroying hundreds of lives is a good thing?
"Recession" my ass. I'm a healthcare professional and I can't feed myself.
