I adore Melissa Ponzio. I can't imagine anyone else playing Mama McCall. But her character on Chicago Fire is so 'bleh.' Donna Boden had a few cute scenes last year, when she was first getting together with Boden/when she got pregnant. But now it's like she just lives to do Boden's bidding. I am pretty disappointed with Chicago Fire 4x08, especially considering I know that Melissa Ponzio can do some great acting! She was set up to be this great matriarch for the firehouse and now she doesn't even come around. It's a bummer because I love Dawson and Chilli - they are such strong, diverse women who don't just get by in a man's world - they shape the show. Cindy Hermann is a beautiful mom - she's really the firehouse matriarch in a lot of ways. I'm not really crazy about Brett, but she's nice.
