Caught up on SPN and Chicago Fire

Is anyone thinking about going to and/or donating to the Ladies of SPN Con 2016? This seems like such a wonderful idea. I might actually be able to go if we end up studying for the Bar exam in Seattle or Olympia next summer. I've been a fan all 11 years, and I've never been able to go to a con but this one is affordable and in a great place. I really want to make it to one before the show ends. Besides, I think it's critical that a con dedicated just to women (esp. on a show with no female leads) is able to survive and grow!

These two episodes reminded me *again* of how much I love this show. They took a risk with the Impala POV and it was so well executed. I was laughing and crying in turns. And "Night Moves"! ♥ Everything I love about the Impala was captured - music, bro discussions, phone calls, car!sex, a cooler filled with weird shit, even the rain. Maybe it's because I relate to really feeling connected to your vehicle (especially my first truck), but I think your car becomes such a huge part of your life when you drive a lot or when you don't really have any other space that is just yours. Plus, vehicles represent freedom.

11x05 was such a classic, creepy episode. The dialogue was sharp and interesting. And I guess they used new writers? I loved how they led with a classic haunting tale of a serial killer, but then pushed the Amara story line forward. Soul snatching is scary stuff. And I am all about more Crowley and Amara time. I'm hoping to see Amara attempt to destroy Crowley in the future - I want to see just how dark she can make him go.

Dawson! My heart it aches for her and Casey. I love how supportive Casey has been through-out. But the person who REALLY carried the day? Hermann (and Cindy). That family is just so caring and beautiful, but with attitude. They can portray Hermann as angry or worked up about things (like that Portland couple who makes me feel uncomfortable), but they can also show him as a sincere person who knows how to overcome heartache and who is like a dad to the whole firehouse. I think he's such a well-developed character. Keep it up, Hermann.

fangirling like whoa, supernatural, chicago fire
