Anyone not from California is going to laugh at me, because I had to get up at the horrifically early hour of 6:45am in order to get to a dental cleaning appt at 8am.  But even though it was SUCH a trial, lol, it's good for me to get appts out of the way early so that I don't miss much work.  The cleaning went well, and I grabbed a cup of coffee about 12 seconds after I left the dentist's office, cos I felt the need to undo the hour worth of scraping [hehe - just kidding.  I just have to have my coffee first thing and besides it's the dentist's fault for having their clinic right next door to a Starbucks].  :)

I read yesterday that people who do oral sex are more likely to have throat cancer.  Ok, you've taken away my micowaves, my cellphones, and my drinking water*, but now THIS?!  Nu-uh.  I'm just going to die of cancer and there's nothing anybody's going to do about it.

And am I the only one who feels sorry for Paris Hilton?  I mean, all she did was break the law and endanger herself and others. COME ON!!!

As I peer into my large coffee cup, I see that it's nearly gone.  I'm a cup half empty kind of girl when it comes to coffee, so I'd better motor and get some more before my body comes out of its caffeine-induced stasis and realizes that the steady drip of coffee has terminated.

[Yeah, I watched Battlestar Galactica last night. hehe]

Oh, speaking of which...

Season 1, Episode 12: Kobol's Last Gleaming: Part 1:
Original Air Date: 17 January 2005
Galactica stumbles upon Kobol, the long-lost homeworld of humanity that the 13 Tribes came from, which legend says holds the only clues to the location of Earth. Roslin convinces Starbuck to steal the captured Cylon raider and return to Cylon-occupied Caprica with it to retrieve a religious artifact that will unlock the secrets on Kobol.

This is the epi I watched last night and ... Starbuck getting it on with Dr. Baltar?!?!?  I liked the bit where she moaned Lee's name, but o_O.  Not so much because of Dr. Baltar, since he's probably a good person to screw if you just really want to screw, but he and Starbuck?!  That's what threw me.

Excellent episode, as usual, though.  I must say, initially I was not at all sold on Edward James Olmos as Adama or a female Starbuck, but damn.  I am totally sold now.  It's really an excellent series, and I'm glad it's still on the air.  I just finished the last disk of Season 1 and they'll send out the first disc of Season 2 when they receive my current one.

I hope everyone has a good Tuesday!
