tequila is not a friend of mine

my time here is beginning to wind down. i looked at the calendar today and realized that, within the two weeks i have left in the city, i still have more than a few things planned. i have no doubt that these two weeks are gonna fly by.

it was a pretty slow, restful, and relaxing weekend. nick, one of my roommates, had mentioned last week that he'd be leaving to spend two weeks in connecticut, and since he hasn't been home in a while, i'm under the impression that his stay up there has begun. unfortunately, i don't think that i'll be able to see him before i head back home. however, this will make things a little easier when clare and michelle drop in for a couple days next week.

kaitlin and her friend kelly came in to the city for a show at a small venue around NYU a couple nites ago. i was too tired from the internship to join them, but afterwards, we went out to do the usual--walk around, get some food, and get some dessert (cold stone, although it's disappointingly different near times square). they mentioned that one of their friends was throwing a party sunday nite (last nite) and insisted that i come, so last nite i ended up going to the party and spending the night on long island. it was a great time spending time with kaitlin and her friends again, especially because they've all been so welcoming to me since i first met them. i did overdo it, though--i not only drank too much too fast, but also knowingly indulged myself with too much tequila, a liqour that has NEVER treated me well in the past. i was alright last nite, i was fine this morning, but immediately after getting to penn station, i was sick. boo tequila. i hadn't gotten sick in a while.

fortunately, some hardcore napping fixed the problem.
