1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
got a D in a class, flashed my boobs at a party, got season passes to three different amusement parks.. and about a billion other things.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
well lets see...
- eat way more fruits and vegetables, way less cheese and bread THAT LASTED FOR A LITTLE WHILE
- return phonecalls, be a better friend I THINK SO..
- don't cut any more than a half inch off of your hair at any given time YEP
- get a job and save money so you can stay in LA and finish school YEP - AND THEN AN EVEN BETTER JOB
- try harder to make new friends, be less judgemental YEP
- listen to more bluegrass YEP
- have matt teach you guitar, for real NOPE
- find a church NOPE
- visit savannah, georgia NOPE
- be a better girlfriend I HOPE SO
- be the coolest big sister ever to maya and the most awesome aunt ever to micah HELL YES
- find more things to like about living in LA, but come home as often as possible NOPE AND YEP
- go to disneyland two hundred and twenty two times ALMOST
- take more pride in your art YEP
- start up nightly stretching routine again NOPE

- be more receptive to beauty, less receptive to negativity NOT SURE
i guess i could have done worse. as for next years' resolutions, i'll be posting them shortly.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
my sweet sweet friend aimee gave birth to a beautiful boy and i am so proud of both of them.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
our sweet rottweiler roxy.
5. What countries did you visit?
when we went to san diego i tried to get matt to take me across the border but he said no.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
a place to live in a city i love, a tattoo, a pet, creative suite 2, a bicycle.
7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
when we went to tahoe because it was beautiful, all the times i went back home because they were perfect. the time i took zen down in the streets of hollywood for jokingly talking trash about breastfeeding.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
doing really well at school, growing my hair out long and feeling better about my body than i have in a long time, staying in LA even when sometimes the only thing i wanted to do was go back to texas, staying strong in my relationship with matt even when sometimes the only thing we wanted to do was give up. but we didn't. thank God.
9. What was your biggest failure?
letting LA get the best of me, letting my mind fuck with my heart.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
a really scary migraine.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
a season pass to disneyland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
mine for being stronger than i thought i could. matt's for being stronger than i thought he could. rachel's for the things she did and the ways in which she changed the world. aimee's for being such an incredible woman and making decisions that i will always respect her for.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
at times my own. at times matt's. at times caleb's.
14. Where did most of your money go?
food and rent.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
disneyland!!!!!!! going home, lost, survivor, the idea of moving to austin.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? sadder unfortunately.. this time last year i was with my family, and now i'm not.
ii. thinner or fatter? thinner, i think, but just a little.
iii. richer or poorer? poorer.. i went all out for matt's christmas present this year.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
kissing, laughing, singing, excersizing.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
crying.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i spent christmas basking in the glow of the people i love most. then on christmas day i spent most of it crying my eyes out on an airplane.
21. Did you fall in love in 2006?
i fell in love with matt again this year.
22. How many one-night stands?
zero.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
hahahah!!! we were so hooked on lost it was pathetic. that and survivor. some people think that's super lame but for me and matt and scott it was super fun, and i'll always have warm memories of those nights.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i don't hate. although some of those kids i hung out with in highschool are real tools, and some of the people i hung out with in LA are big jerks.
25. What was the best book you read?
a tie between harry potter and the order of the phoenix and harry potter and the half-blood prince!!!!!!
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
ratatat, and the fucking badass mystery mix cd that i found in the back of the cafe.
27. What did you want and get?
a job doing graphic design, good grades at school, new friends, a cute hat, a laptop.
28. What did you want and not get?
to see rachel, a chi flat iron, a shitload of clothes.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
yikes... probably science of sleep.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
matt took me to a very romantic dinner at miceli's. i turned twenty.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
if my entire family and all of my best friends in the world had all moved to southern california and we had all lived in a little humble nonexistant town where we ate indian food and breastfed each others' children and sang songs around a campfire every night before we all cuddled up in one enormous bed to watch episodes of the dick van dyke show.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
sexxaaliccious.
33. What kept you sane?
matt, my mom, rachel, abbe.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
daniel craigg. DAMN!
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
the war in Iraq.
36. Who did you miss?
who didn't i miss? i missed my whole family, rachel, aimee, brent, raymak, kara, courtney, kyle, andy, keeley, sarah, lee, brian.. i missed a lot of people.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
this is a weird question. uh it was wonderful meeting hairam and jessica and daisy and dani and alyson and geoff and mike. there were other nice ones too.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
i'm actually still in the midst of this lesson.. the lesson that you can't question God's plans, because you're just too small to grasp them and that's okay.
