Things of a Happier Nature

I'm about to bombard you with links! So far I feel as if I am starting to get my act together (again) thanks to some wonderful insights from an outside party.

Right now, I still only have masks, but I will soon be putting up for sale a few costumes from my personal collection. So keep me bookmarked, and lend me a hand in finding potential buyers. I *really* need the cash. If you have recommendations for items I should consider making/selling, please toss me a note.

So far, the intention of which is to offer costume/accessorizing tips and a dress diary of sorts, to document my own research and costume progress. I may eventually expand on the subject matter, but please feel free to follow me if you keep a blog at blogspot.

My symphonic metal band (think Nightwish/Evanescence) finally landed OUR FIRST GIG. It is at 7pm on August 25 at Tammany Hall in Worcester, MA. That's a Tuesday. We are an opening act for the band "Arma," so if you decide to come show support, I am telling you right now to get there early for the opening acts!

Two of the latest endeavors are Old School Rogue (X-Men) and an original character for Haunt Season called Countess Vespera. Rogue has only a bit of tweaking left to do, and the Countess has a bit more work. For Rogue, I have only to finish modifying the boot-covers, finish fitting the suit, and take in the belt a bit more. For the Countess, these are just preliminary pictures. The dress, as-is, is a thrift-store find. I am going to create a fish-tail skirt-swag for the bottom (a la Morticia) and some spooky drapes from the sleeves. The make-up also needs work--I need more vibrant colors, so when I have money, it's off to Sephora! I'm still working on her back-story, but she promises to be a lot of fun.

Thanks for reading, as always. Now it's back to the grindstone.
