PFC Miranda Bates had no idea why these Feds were here, but she was going to get them out before they tried to take over. This was a military matter!
Plus, these two did not look like they knew the first thing about the army. She could use that. She was not going to let them in to her crime scene. She knew their boss would understand- or she'd make him. As one Fed talked to his boss, she nodded to herself. She'd better make sure she was taken seriously.
"This is Sergeant Miranda Bates. Who am I talking to?"

Yes, I'm serious. The rank insigina that "Sergeant" Bates wore was for PFC, Private First Class. That means she is a couple of ranks below sergeant. Now, I don't expect most people to catch that, but you'd think someone in the Supernatural crew would have noticed! It's not like it's even that hard to check! I'm sure it's just a stupid production error, but really, Supernatural crew! Double check these things. And her commanding officer is more likely to be a Captain, not a Major.
I knew, I knew they were going to mess the military stuff up somehow.
I suppose I should be glad they actually used an army rank at least. And got the name tag on the right side of the uniform...
Ok, rant over. At least I got a drabble out of this mess up.
