I've been on Tumblr way too much (stalking my new favourite fanfic author and trying not to be too much of a pest) and I feel guilty about ignoring this thing even though I still use it to post all my fanfic. I don't spam with as much stupid crap as before. So here's a variety of things

Because a character who shows up once and is essentially a satellite character for another would get more loved by the fandom then characters who's story and character arcs are central to the series.

And I honestly do not see why this would be a bad thing. Because that's how my brain is wired. I think main characters are boring more often than not because I get tired of them. I'm different and strange and used to it and also being silly. Which everyone else should be used to by this point. XD

Conclusion: nothing is going to change my mind ever. I have a long history of this kind of fixation. The only difference is, way back when I was in the Buffy fandom the side characters had more fans than I notice for side characters now. I miss the sort of gleeful speculation that goes with that kind of thing. I'll go sit on my porch and shake my cane at you damn kids now.
