We are back online. If you get a message about being in maintenance mode, the domain hasn't resolved to the new server for your part of the world yet. It should be done soon because it is done for me and for canutius (and we are decidely on totally different parts of the world!).

Immeritus was down three times today. Twice because of server issues, once because I was upgrading software. I am hoping that the software upgrade might ease the pain, but I don't think it will too much. What it does do is make it easier for us to move when we decide to. Hopefully soon guys. As you all know, we have had nothing but problems with 1and1.com as our host and dedicated server. The site has been down almost ten times this week, with as many phone calls to customer support, and every time I call, they point the finger at me saying that there are too many db queries and that I should look into optimizing them. I have not been able to access the site now for at least 15 minutes. When I went to get the phone number through my control panel, that hung too, so I am assuming this is not local to our server.

I called and they are experiencing a high call volume (go fig) and suggest I call at a later time. *rolls eyes*

We know trying to access the Forum Index page is giving back database error messages. We also know that the home page is up and running. You can access the forums from any news item that directly links to threads or a specific forum; email thread notifications seem to get you in as well. ( Read more... )
