It's over!

It's over!  Indeed, my life is over!   Eh, what, did I just say life?  I meant wife.  Wait, I don't have a wife.

I meant my work experience training is over.  Sorry to spoil it, but no drama over here.  It finished last Friday, and I've been kinda lazy since then.  I need to write my report and hand it in and hopefully, they'll let me graduate at last! :o   Yeah, it'll take a while, but I'll get it done!

On a completely unrelated note, I need to get new LJ icons and MSN display pictures.

So anyways, the other day, for some unknown reason, I went up and looked up our local cars on Wikipedia.  Of course, as everyone knows, Perodua has been copying the designs of Daihatsu since like forever and marketing them off over here.  Naturally, Daihatsu themselves do not sell the same models in Malaysia.  But what strikes me as odd is that Perodua doesn't have a Brand model like the developers.  Like, for example, Toyota has the Camry, which has stayed on for many, many years, going through numerous design changes.  But for Perodua, everytime there's a new design out, they label it with a new name.  It's against the normal system that everyone else uses, so kinda odd. XD   The Kancil, Kelisa and Viva are actually the 2nd, 3rd/4th and 6th generation Daihatsu Mira/Cuore/Charade (depending on your country XD) respectively.  (Boy that's a confusing sentence)  So the name changed on the Perodua side, while it didn't on the Daihatsu side.

So anyway, I actually thought that Perodua had started designing their own cars, but it turns out that ALL of them were Daihatsu.   Well, I'm actually fine about this, it's just that it's something that you should tell the public, instead of them having to find out by looking it up.  Should be more transparent about what you do.

There is the other car manufacturer in Malaysia, Proton, and they actually do make their own cars.  They used to copy off Mitsubishi, but that was ages ago.  Quality wise?  I have no idea. XD  I'm not a car owner.

So anways!  Yesterday!  Why am I talking about yesterday?  Yes, yesterday I went down to the Australian High Council in KL and they said they don't handle General Skilled Migration and that any applications will have to be sent to Adelaide.  So I have to look up more info on my own!  Oh well, it shouldn't be that hard anyway. :)  It's just that it'll take some time.

So after that I felt like watching a movie, so I did.  By myself.  Honestly, I've never gone to see a movie by myself before so this was really a first.  After being in Australia, RM10 movie tickets feel REALLY cheap.  I wanted to watch The Dark Knight, but that was at 3pm, so being the idiot I am, I decided to watch ANOTHER movie before it. XD  Wanted to go for Death Race but that had already started 10 minutes before I arrived, so I picked this unknown movie called Deception simply because it started at 12:10 and was in English.

So how was Deception?  Quite Deceptive, really.  The all star cast would make you think that it's a good movie, but really, it's not.  It's partly disappointing because the main star of the show is a real introvert kind of guy, kinda like an underdog, and you expect him to like rise up by the end of the movie but he really doesn't change all THAT much.  He does change, but not as much as you'd like him to.  I suppose that's realistic, but hey this is the movies!
Seriously, the story feels so full of holes that you have to use your own imagination to fill in the gaps.  The main dude kinda switches identities with the main baddie by the end, and the baddie dies, and the main dude runs of with the bad girl at the end.  And that's how it ends.  So, with ZERO cash and a stolen identity and in a foreign country, I can only imagine the guy learning from the girl how to swindle people out of money and things.  So he evolves from a mild-mannered, introverted accountant into an international swindler!  Well, that's how I imagine it anyway.  Michelle Williams is quite pretty!  No, not Tekken.

THEN I get to watch the Dark Knight!   And man, that was spectacular!  Okay, enough said.  Everyone's seen it already so I don't have to say anything more. >__>

Oh, on a side not, TGV (local cinema francise) at KLCC really sucks!  The route from the entrance to the cineplexes smell like old gym socks.   And I'm not exaggerating! >__<  I held my breath and ran the second time, but I ran out of breath, and then AUGH!
Back in Aus, people entered and exited the cineplexes from the same entrance.  We always joked about how you could walk right into another cinema and keep watching movies.  Well, that WOULD happen here if they didn't have separate entrances and exits.  And the exit is always some kind of horror-story like corridor that leads you to some strange part of the shopping complex.  What's odd about the KLCC one is that they made plywood/plaster walls infront of the concrete ones so that they could put ads; and what happened is that there are now multiple HOLES in a whole lot of them.  It's like some people got really rowdy and started throwing each other around the destroying the place.  It's rather odd, I'd dare say, since cinemas are generally a no alcohol area.

Well, my first time there, not gonna go back there again.

I think, the only thing bad about not going with a bunch of people, is that there's no one to talk to after the movie, so I could complain about the horrid sound system!  That system suddenly becomes very loud at random moments for no apparent reason.  It's like, people having a conversation and suddenly it goes BLARING and then becomes normal again within the span of someone saying a sentence.

Hm, who thought I could've written so much about half a day of stuff! XD

I didn't do much today, just drive people around a bit.  And sleep.  Gosh, I'm so lazy!

I wanna go to the park again tomorrow.
