Busy, Busy, Busy

Holy cow. Things have been SO BUSY around here! You all know my friend, Ashely (and her family, of course), was selling her house. Brandon has been helping Mark with the remodeling of their new one. They completely gutted the thing and the project just keeps getting bigger, as such projects tend to. Well, someone decided they wanted the old house and needed it in a week. Ashley spent the last week packing and trying to move and I spent the same week cleaning out my basement so they could move into there while Brandon and Mark finish up the work at the new house.

I've been SO grateful for the excuse to clean out the basement! And I'm so proud of myself too. It looks awesome! I wish I'd taken before pictures so that after pictures would even make sense. I can actually see my scrapbook table now and it has me wanting to do it again. I started Karissa's baby book but have only gotten as far as the two showers. hehe Just a wee bit behind there.

Anyway, they've now got the room formally known as the scrapbook room, the bathroom and also my studio. That gives the boys (and Karissa) someplace to play. If someone wants to come do pictures (which would be nice) then we'll just set everything up again. Kind of a pain, but do-able for sure. As far as meals go we do that all together since there isn't a kitchen put in down there. It'll take a little getting used to but fun as well. It will be nice to try some new dinners and such and fun to go shopping with Ashley.

Speaking of pictures, I got to do the family pictures of a family in my ward that just had a little baby. So fun! He's only 2 weeks old too. I had fun doing them.

After a very busy Friday and Saturday it was so nice to have a relaxing Sunday. One of Brandon's home teaching families invited us over for dinner, which was so nice. I've also been her visiting teacher for almost 8 years. Ian made us some BBQed ribs, steak, chicken and all kinds of sides. We brought some Liken movies over and the kids really enjoyed that. We watched Esther and the King and the part of the Nephi one too. Fun stuff. :^)

I'm not quite sure I'm up to only 54 degrees right now. It's quite chilly. I've been enjoying the somewhat cooler temperatures, but I hope we haven't seen the last of summer yet!

emp, ashley
