A New Road
Yea! After a few weeks of having our road torn up, we finally got the asphalt down today! It looks so nice and isn't nearly as high as it used to be. They did it in only two passes with the big, cool machine. When they did the rolly thing to pack it down nice and tight it made the whole house shake. It was actually kinda neat. Karissa would go up to her bedroom door and hold on to it since it vibrated really well. :^)
Last night I got most of my visiting teaching done. That felt awesome. It's been a few months and I actually have Millie back now too. She's 5 months along now and feeling MUCH better. Though, she was having cramps/contractions last night. I guess the same thing happened with her last little one. I need to check in on her in the next few days to make sure she's okay.
Anyway, we've got 4 sisters now, which is cool. We have yet to visit one of them still, but we do have an appointment later this week. Hopefully she'll be there this time. :^) Our new sister is really neat. I'm excited to get to know her and her cute family better.
Brandon now has a second job. He's helping Ashley and Mark out with their new house. They'll paint, tile, refinish wood floors and maybe even put a kitchen in. He comes home with enough time to eat and then heads up there. I don't like never seeing him (okay, so it's only been one day, but it IS going to last a good month or two) but at least it's something to bring in some money. They were very nice to think of us.
