Can we talk about the b-word?
And by "we," I mean me and Rupert Murdoch. Because I am freaking tired of hearing that word on TV. It is the ONLY curse word that seems to be allowed on primetime TV. And, maybe it's just because I watch too many teen dramas, but it gets used ALL. THE. FREAKING. TIME.
The Vampire Diaries is the worst offender; Pretty Little Liars comes in at a close second; I know Gossip Girl also abuses it. And it is seriously pissing me off. You know, in the comments section of a recent NYTimes article, someone mentioned that the rampant disrespect for women today - and particularly girls - is a sign that the women's lib movement largely failed. I have to agree.
