(manga) arslan senki chapter 26
i'm so devastated by the anime that I forgot that there's a new manga chapter at the same time. More pages this time, but it seems to me that the drawings are not as neat as it usually are (perhaps Arakawa-sensei still busy, can't be helped....we're lucky we got more pages this month)
Gieve, as usual, cemented his position as scene stealer (we don't mind that, keep continuing your righteous paths! *thumbs up*) Love his 'uuuurggghhhhh' face (frequently used by Guiscard when dealing with his idio.... surroundings) when noticing whom he will stuck with (likewise, Elam's face when Gieve announcing his noble rescue)
Then both play tsunderes with Arslan who hit by an 'awkward moments' hammer (my poor little kitty..... um, I meant lion cub, yeah, that is, lion cub well, lion is technically is still a cat anyway
I love how Arslan is depicted as having something calls brains, if not insight, to think that there must be Parsian aiding Lusitanian's troops for them to be able to use the terrain very well (we see them time to time, like the 'fog' foreboding or when he got Narsus to be his follower. Anime seems content to makes him as puppet princess under narsus' influences - but I don't want to talk about anime right now because i will SCREAM - so let's drop this subject
*extra credit still goes to Gieve who insists on defending Parsian culture. This actually serves as chekov's gun later, so bonus point on making this as hilarious scene (and now I can't wait to see Alfreed....)
Seeing Zande (?) introduced, then we will have his meeting Daryun next, so probably we won't see Arslan on next chapter T____T No, don't leave me alone like this! how should I cope with the next episode of *shudder* new anime?
*better to let this out rather than explode everytime I thought about it, but yes, I don't accept, cannot possibly accept that someone that can thinking 'this fog will be hinder to us in battle' would absolutely blab about national secret as sob stories to opposing countries' agent just for 'oh he might pity me and want to serve me' purpose. This is beyond dumb. This kills any claim of someone having a brain actually. Who are you and what have you done to my Arslan? I still need verification from someone that actually read the novels about this bit, but until that comes, I will not accept this shit*
