Finally found a few minutes to read your blog and wanted to say that it's absolutely lovely! I look forward to reading your further kitchen/gardening adventures. I'm sure you'll come up with things that are simply wonderful!
What I'm finding so interesting is how many recipes I'm finding that both sound wonderful and are either vegetarian, or so close to vegetarian that they could easily switch over. Need to still find the time to actually COOK some of these things, but I suspect that I shall, one of these days. Thought of you the other day when I made amilyn's carrot/ginger soup. Totally vegan and DELISH! Do let me know when you guys will be in town, as I've a recipe for a lasagna that I'm dying to try out, and am hoping to share with you. (features butternut squash and chestnuts)
Per the doc I'm really supposed to be horrified about my knee, but all I know is that when I bother to walk "properly" then it doesn't hurt. This makes me ALL kinds of happy. Still working out the knots and kinks I got by walking poorly for so long with the injury/recovery/ankle-injury, but another session with David should work most of them out.
Surgery SUCKS! Hope you manage to avoid it as long as possible!
