A Moment of Clarity

There are a few realizations I've come to during my four weeks (and counting) of Lenten sobriety.

- Drunk kids are hilarious yet misguided. Hilariously Misguided perhaps?

- Dealing with your problems kind of sucks but it's far better than only thinking about them.

- There's a possibility that I will never need or want a cigarette again.

- If you're really well adjusted and friendly, you can survive never drinking.

- I am all kinds of awkward and uncool.

- When I want to be, I can be far more charming than I ever realized, while sober anyway.

- The simple act of being a patient and accommodating D.D. will bring you more good karma than you'd think.

- I will never again smoke as much pot as I did over the last year. My mind is too important to me.

- Waking up after a night out with your friends and not feeling like shit is awesome.

- After the first couple of weeks people have gotten to the point where they are neither that negative nor that supportive.
