Wow. I'm back at State College. Craziness!

Everything has been going really really well. I have a beautiful, rather large single and as always the Lord again provided me with immediate comfort in the forms of random meetings and invitations to bible studies. My friend Rachel who was here over the summer went to a Disciple Makers Bible Study and said it was amazingly in-depth and thus quite awesome. I happened to have bumped into one of the staff members of Disciple Makers who was in my hallway and by the grace of the Lord we were able to speak. Her name is Carin and she's so awesome. She helped me out today with different things (my fairly expensive monitor is broken) by taking me into town to Best Buy and Walmart. I was able to pick up some things that I had forgotten and needed which was really really nice.

Yesterday I was also able to go to a Navs get-together: a picnic to recruit freshmen and reunite upperclassmen. It was amazing to see everyone. I could not believe how happy everyone was to see each other. Each staff member and fellow brother and sister was so happy to have seen me, because many of them were unsure about my returning to Penn State. I appreciated such blessings because it was like the Lord was showing me how much fellowship and love surround my Christian family. During the picnic I was also able to talk to some freshman and upperclassmen. I pray the Lord used me to reach out to some of these people, for I truly care about each one of them and only want to encourage all to grow in their relationship with God.

After meeting many people at the picnic (there were over a hundred people on the Hess's lawn) I hung out with my friends Rachel, Jen and Justin. Rachel and I were able to witness to some freshmen women and encourage them to stay actively aware of their environment, and to not feel forced to party. We told them about navs and a couple of the girls we really interested. I am excited for all of them and pray they dont' feel the pressure to fall into the trap of partying. So anyway, last night we watched a Christian stand-up comedian. Though what he said at times was not completely accurate (i'm sure I could have challenged some of his theology) the mistakes were very few and completely forgive in such an environment. All of us who watched it were so appreciative of this man, though. Because he IS funny and NOT vulgar. Not only that he made some really really good points but was still able to inter-mix comedy with (an almost) sermon. It was truly a blessing to watch.

I have a strong feeling that all of us are going to become quite close, especially Rachel, Jen and I. It's such a plus that Rachel and Jen live so close to me and that they room together. Justin made the comment last night that it's like I live there already. That makes me smile so joyfully for these girls are truly my closest family in Christ. I love them so dearly and am so glad to be able to be close to them and to encourage their Christian walk.

So anyway with all of this said I really feel that I'm off-skilter here at Penn State. I need to re-focus. I haven't been in the word for a couple of days and I am truly feeling the need for the Lord. I think I am going to go and try to have a bit of a study before going to an "Oaks" (the leadership and advanced bible study group within Navigators) meeting because I truly do need it. I love you all and I'll be praying for all of you. Lord Bless you!
