i agree with all that. however, in today's society a bachelors degree (in anything) guarantees you at least thirty grand a year, so it's nice to fall back on in case your innate talents don't provide an income. it's
subtract from that thirty grand, of course, the dept you will be in for that degree. this is why its better to go for something you really like. you have to have a job one way or another... if you dont care about shitty jobs that have their array of shitty ... shit, well, you're not human lol but, some can put up with it more than others

also; if you did want to get a band going, you could still go to school. being an amazing, musically trained drummer will help you get into any band you want, and being in the program would help you meet other dedicated people if you wanted to start one up.
i mean of course if those around you dont want to embark on the same journey, but it sounds like they might. still thought id throw the idea out there.
I know you had a post pertaining to me recently, but I've been busy. Will watch/listen the next time I can.
On another note, four years ago I made fun of you for liking Streetlight Manifesto. Upon listening to them, they are all right. A lot of their songs sound identical(that horrible ska sound), but they have clever lyrics and a nice vocal delivery).
I have heard Portugal the Man, though, and they suck. Seriously.
interesting stuff! i mean i like what they're doin, it's really fun thats for sure. i like their version of waiting room.
haha, 4 years later i'm not that big a streetlight fan anymore. i mean i'll always support them when they come thru, but i never listen to it in my spare time. i saw them in philly recently and it was so sloppy and too fast. but still fun to sing along. and Portugal the Man? I've seen em like 4 times, always touring with some other bands i like, and they've never impressed me much. maybe one or two of their newer songs are alright but that's it. i much prefer Maps and Atlases. and if you haven't checked out Mew yet you totally gotta
