Vampire Beginnings Pt. 1
We ran up the street and down the alley. "We can't let them get us," Erin said.
"I know! I know!" I screamed. "But, what else are we supposed to--" One of the vamps jumped in front of me.
"Where do you think you're going?" He hissed.
He grabbed my wrist. "Erin, run," I told her.
She turned around but a vamp came in front of her too and grabbed her wrist. "You two know too much about us," he said. "You must die or become one of us, your choice."
I looked over my shoulder at Erin. She was shaking and I could tell. "I--We--- NO! Why? Does it matter? Who the hell cares if we know about vamps!" I screamed.
"So, you choose to die? Very well then," the vamp who had me said.
He pulled me closer into him and his lips went to my neck. "Wait!" Erin yelled. l looked over my shoulder at her. "I'm sorry, Tatum. Derek stop."
The guy who had my wrist looked over at Erin. "Erin? What are you doing as a... human?" he asked.
"I found someone who wanted to be a vamp and let them have my venom. Once it was all gone he ran off and I was the old me again."
"Erin?" I said. "What are you talking about?"
"Tatum, about 200 years ago I was turned by Derek and was meant to be his love for eternity. It didn't work out. Last year, when I was gone for the summer, I found a person who really wanted to be a vampire like me. When a vamp loses all his or her venom they turn human again and that's what happened to me."
"That's why you couldn't go out in the daytime? You told me you burned way too easily! Erin, you lied to me..."
"I know Tatum and I'm sorry... Are we still friends?"
I hesitated a moment then looked into her eyes. They looked sincerely sorry. "Yeah," I said, "we are."
"Okay, I've had enough of this!" Derek said. "I don't care if you're human again. You know what that means, right Erin?"
"If Ty bites me, I can't lose all my venom again," Erin said with a grim look on her face. "I know..."
"Wait, you're still going to bite us?" I almost screamed.
"Of course. The last time we had human was almost a year ago now. A vamp needs human blood at least once or twice a year. And I think my once will be today."
Derek's lips curled back and he bared his almost glistening fangs. He held me even closer to him like he was going to kiss me instead of suck my blood. His lips brushed over my neck and then up to my ear. "Now you'll be mine forever," he whispered.
I went still. The wind blew my blond hair over my deep blue eyes. A shiver went down my tannish body.
His lips went back down to my neck. He took one hand from my waist and tucked the hair that had fallen over my neck because of the wind behind my ear. His hand crept slowly back down my back and I felt the brush of his fangs on my neck. I closed my eyes for the stabbing pain that would shoot through me.
It was split second. His fangs dug into my neck. The pain went through me and my knees buckled. Derek held me up by holding me by the waist and I started gasping for air. I couldn't say anything or move. My heart pounded loudly and then got quieter as my eyes started to close. I felt the ground beneath my knees. I was kneeling. Derek was still sucking the life from me.
Everything was getting darker and darker. Was he killing me or was this how the change went?
Then something else happened. Something that felt like fire coursed through my veins. I heard myself scream. Derek put one of his hands over my mouth. My heartbeat got softer and softer. Derek finally pulled away from my neck. Thump... Thump... Silence. There was nothing.
No one took a breath and you couldn't hear a heartbeat. The last thing I heard was Derek saying, "Erin's mine. You can keep the other in your house."
Everything then went black and silent.
So this is what I do when I get totally bored... I write about vampires... Sorry, that's just what I do... If you like this then I will post more because... Yeah! So hope you like it! :)
