It's cool, man. I'm here to help. Can't say I've ever done anything like that before, though.

You're getting really good at fighting, Greg!

Yeah, an' it keeps you on your toes.

Gotta say, this is a nice change from savin' Corinth all th' bloody time. But I can't help but worry. Mah suit is back there an' there ain't exactly anyone else who could take up the Series Blue suit.

Little guy here says we were brought here for a reason, and from what I can tell there's a lot of people who need help. It sucks being away from your home, but better to concentrate on the present I think.

If it helps, some one here taught me about all this Digisoul stuff. I was just an investigator before I came here, so I didn't have any clue what I was doing until he taught me.

Yeah, no kiddin'. I'm sure that the others will hold the fort down until I get back. I just worry tha' Dr. K'll find another operator for Series Blue. It's kind of a touchy suit since ah've been wearin' it for four years now.

Digisoul aye? I'll have t'look into that when I get over to Tetha. Neon's all glitz an' stuff but I'd prefer a quieter city an' all.

Heh, I like Neon. Reminds me of home. Once you've lived in Las Vegas, anywhere else seems like a tomb in comparison.

Unfortunately I have no idea if there's any time differential between here and other people's worlds.

Must be. Ah grew up in Scotland, so it's all bright an' garish fer me, yanno?

I bloody well hope not. Otherwise I'll 'ave one hell of an angry team waitin' fer me when I get back.

Well I kind of knew you were Scottish. Can't say I've ever been, though, which is probably a big damn shame, but the life of a CSI rarely allows for vacations even if I have godknows how many hours banked...

Pft, I'd say mine would be pissed, but they're probably more like worried as hell. I sort of got shot before landing here. Last thing I remembered was being with my partner Nick and chasing him through an abandoned house after some guy.

It's a nice place, lots of natural settin' an' all, stone-an-mortar buildin's, the whole nine yards of rural charm.

A CSI? I woulda thought tha' they just worked the deaths an' not th' actual cases, let alone chasin' a perp through a house.

Nah, nah. Get this. The whole entire thing was my partner's fault. Well partner and a rookie cop.

So we're working this scene, pretty horrible one at that. Triple murder. Single mom and two sons. Only there's a third son, the youngest, we don't know about yet 'cause we've JUST gotten there. And the idiot rookie on the scene first doesn't clear it properly and the guy is still in the house, holding the kid! But he's so strung out on godknows what kind of drugs he doesn't have a damn clue what he's doing ( ... )

Ach, bloody hell people I tell ye! Even in Corinth there's dumbasses tha' do this sort of thing too. Like we can't afford NOT to miss a few more people? Really, smart when we're th' last of our kind presumably.

Does it seem odd tha' in a way, ah'm kinda th' law back home an' you're th' CSI friend?

I was pretty pissed about it. The scene was bad enough without a mishap like that happening. Though... from what I could see before I fell, the kid and Nick were both okay, so I've got that to be grateful for.

... still kicking his ass when I get home.

Hm? Oh, yeah, that does now that you mention it. Huh.

Aye, then th' satisfaction o'puttin' the littl' bastard behind bars makes it all th' worth while.

Aw well, s'not like ah've been meanin' t'get into Policin', not after ah've been bounced from th' force before.

eyup. Sure as hell made the case a lot easier, too. There's not a whole lot you can say to get yourself out of 'obviously strung out, covered in blood and holding the murder weapon while you run with the one survivor'.

Well, it's up to you how you go from here, but there is a team called DATs here that pretty much does just that. I put in for investigations since my ex supervisor happens to be here and is working for them.

Or you can go it on your own. Plenty of people do.

Aye, there is tha'.

I'll consider it an' all, considerin' I do a lot o'work as Series Blue. But ah'm just a mechanic, so maybe I'll get a job in a garage or build me own vehicles. Ah'm sure there's something here I can look into.
