I've taken the next step in R/C Helicopter flying and holy fuck! (ilikethatband)((i'm 31 and still referencing stupid hipster/indie culture!!!!))
It's difficult.

So I took to google maps and looked at the closest open field on the map, I found FEC park which i've always known about, but never realized how open it was.I took it for one flight last night and had a minor crash right off the bat. It's fine, but still.
See, I learned to fly on fixed pitch helicopters or co-axle (the two blades on top of one another)
Now i'm learning to fly a collective pitch helicopter which means it's bit more serious, you can do more stunts because the rotor blades adjust pitch in relation to the horizon (loop-de-loops and such) Collective pitch is what real helicopters use basically.
It's a bitch and a major stress to learn, but it's what I like. Can't help it! It's just not a cheap hobby. I'd rather buy an xbox or ps3 and be content with that but honestly...i got bored of videogames about 8 years ago.
well, now that i've attached training gear to the chopper (4 plastic balls at the end of an x-shaped base that prevent it from tipping over) I'm ready to give it another shot.
I hope the wind's calm today...peace!
