Correct! Whether you push your physical limits too much, or not enough, you're equally doomed! Gym class is a deadly balancing act!

But as you have outlined, the most immediate danger comes in injury, and whoever happens to be in charge of the gym department at the time will be held responsible. A balancing act quite difficult, you know, and if you are the one declaring what should and what should not be done in the gym class, in the event that something terrible happens, you will be to blame. Do you really want that?

When I became a teacher, I was fully aware that everything I did would, one way or another, be construed as a failure! Whether or not I teach gym has no bearing on this!

Ah, yes, but the repercussions of your failure in the educational system will only come back for vengeance upon you many, many years from now in the form of the destitute failures you ushered into a new age. On the other hand, should someone be injured terribly due to your foolish incompetence, the wraith of the community itself could fall upon you immediately.
