"Society must let the artist go, to wander off into the nebula"

So, while some of continue to mourn the loss of Dimebag Darrell, lets take a moment or two to remember the lives of 2 other greats.

The first being Mr. Ed D. Wood Jr.
Ed Wood, writer/director of such "classics" as Glen or Glenda and Plan 9 from Outer Space, passed 36 years ago today. Yeah, he may have been voted worst director of all times, and yeah, his movies looked like shit and were uber cheesy, and yeah he knew that, but he didn't care. He just had such a passion to tell his stories that all that didn't matter so much to him. We definately need more poeple in the film industry that care more about telling a story than being the next multi million dollar special effects estravaganza blockbuster hit of the year.
RIP

Ed D. Wood Jr.
October 10, 1924-December 10, 1978

The 2nd would be James Lynn strait, singer for the phenomenal-ahead-of-their-time band, Snot. Lynn didn't die till the 11th, but my Jennie is coming up this weekend, so I probably wont be updating, so I figured I'd comment on this entry.
So, yes, Lynn passed away 6 years ago this saturday, most people have no idea who he or Snot is, and those that don't should check them out. They have been my favorite band, right behind Incubus of course, since I first heard them in 97. Unfortunately they only got to release one full album, and Lynn passed right as they were starting to make it big, as well as right in the middle of recording a new album. Most people that have heard of them pass them off as just another nu-metal band, but they were different. I'm sure if Lynn hadn't died they'd be huge right now. Lynn was to me what Kurt Cobain was to basically every teenager in 94, or what Dimebag is to the real Pantera fans.

Apparently December is a good month to die....

As for other quick updates.

Monday and tuesday I sat around and played Zelda
Wednesday and Thursday I worked then came home and watched TV.
Today Jennie is coming up for the weekend as we are going to see Stephen Lynch and Mitch Hedberg on Saturday, then to downtown afterwards. I can't wait!! But alas is 5:30am, I should Really get to bed...

pics, video games (played), death anniversary
