Hee! The animals in this house don't love their mommy at all. Me = 3 animals. Dennis = 0. Toby is on the desk next to me. Salem is on the floor on the kitty bed. Maddie is on the floor behind the chair.

Oy. I am so fired from lawn duty. Or I would be if I had anyone else to do it. I SUCK at remembering to turn off the sprinklers if I turn one on. I've turned on the front yard THREE times now and forgotten about it. The first two times I remembered in the middle of the night and got up and shut it off. This time I forgot ALL night. Toby just burped after scarfing his dinner. Very very cute!

Had a really great birthday. Had dinner with the rents on Monday night and went out with friends for sushi last night.

But the best birthday present of all? Toby has been off insulin for two weeks! We're "officially" OTJ (off the juice) today! ~dances~

He's doing pretty well. He glucose levels made a big drop over the last few days and we're out of the uber-bad red zone. I could just dance around! He keeps getting out of his ecollar and ripped out staples from his incision. So I bought him a really cute blue dog sweater (it matched his eyes ~silly~) but he got out of that too and ripped out ( Read more... )

Toby is home! Poor guy hardly looks like himself. I've never seen him short-haired (aka no hair). If you didn't see his face, you wouldn't think it was Toby. He seems alert and "himself". He just plowed through his dinner AND Salem's. Pig! :D Here's hoping it's all green pastures from here out!!!

Toby is out of surgery and just starting to wake up. Doctor was very pleased with how everything turned out. Only removed two teeth and said the tumor on his side came out clean and he is sending it to the lab for analysis. His glucose is still really high but he isn't going to worry about it for another week or two once Toby starts healing up ( Read more... )
