Final essay

It may seem like I think yoga is absolutely dreadful, but honestly I am greatful for it and it has helped me out in many ways. Yoga has been helpful by making me more relaxed in the day, and has helped me achieve my goal.
It helped me become more relaxed in the day by in the next two classes after yoga I was relaxed and not so stressed about the work I was doing and I was in a better mood for those two classes. The days that I didn’t do yoga or one three five days I was tense and a bit stressed out about all the work and I wasn’t the most pleasant person to be around. I think the poses that helped me were the relaxing ones like childs pose, or embryo. But the ones that helped me out the most were the ones that stretched out my stomach or my back. Like upward dog and camel for my stomach and cat and waterfall for my back.
The other way yoga has helped me was helping me achieve my goal. My goal was to become more flexible in the legs so I could do the splits. The poses that helped me get closer to doing the splits were stretches like lunge, one leg out stretch and the stretches where we would take one leg and pull it to the sides. I cant to the splits but I am a lot closer to doing the splits now than before I started taking yoga.
I will probably keep doing the poses that helped me become more relaxed so im not so tense at school. I will also keep doing the poses that helped me become more flexible in my legs. I will continue to do these so I can someday do the splits.

Now to do these stretches outside of class I will need the effort to do the stretches.
I know I didn’t have the best effort in the class. My effort in this class was like a rollercoaster. When I first started the class I gave one-hundred percent of my effort to this class. But about a month later I started to slack off. But when I found that it effected my grade I boosted my effort to about ninty percent. My motivation do keep my effort up was achieving my goal and getting my grade up.
I also started doing better in yoga by doing fun stuff in yoga. What I mean by that is the fun stretches that we did. I enjoyed doing the headstands and the handstands. I also liked to attempt to do crow. That was probably the most difficult pose for me to do but it was fun to try. Just like this class. This class was fun to try and I hope that I can continue to do yoga later on in life.
