Two young hearts with a long road ahead
Growing up quickly with intentions to wed
Everyone telling them not to rush things so fast
High school relationships barely ever last
The two young hearts don’t listen to a word they say
They know it will work out in their own special way
Two young hearts with a long road ahead
Should’ve listened to what everyone said
He broke her heart, they found him hanging from a rope
Without her he had no hope
On the floor he left a letter
Telling her she could do much better
She read the note, felt a rush of pain inside
None of this would’ve happened if he hadn’t have lied

Wanted nothing more than to just be dead
They found her lying in her blood
She would now reunite with the one she once loved
On the floor she also left a letter
Telling everyone she didn’t want anyone better
I guess you can say that she died for love
Now they are traveling that long road together above
