Meme - Day 2
Day 2
Another essay/studying day. Not as productive as it should have been, and not particularly exciting. I slept in later than I meant to again, even though I'd gone to bed at midnight, my usual time, instead of much later as I have been. I was in my room most of the day, except to eat food and plunge.
Because the toilet blocked itself up at eight-thirty. I plunged away at the damn thing for almost an hour straight and it still hadn't come unplugged. So we called our landlord (poor guy), and it's two in the morning and the hall smells like industrial strength Drano and I think the bloody thing might still be plugged. And I think he's still here. Did someone try to flush a baby or something? Seriously, how the fuck did this happen? I just don't even want to think about it. I have an exam first thing tomorrow and an essay due, so that's my priority here. Not the goddamn toilet, although I wasted a good two hours of what could have been studying/writing time dealing with it. I have toilet paper gunk all over what was my last pair of clean pants that aren't either missing buttons or have holes in awkward places, so I have no real pants to wear into the exam tomorrow (My pants, for some reason unbeknownst to me, seem to have all agreed to a group suicide pact). If the gym weren't so fucking cold, I would just go in my pajamas, but it's cold and so I shall have to find something warmer and not covered in gunk to wear.
A good thing about today? ... I ended up having another nap (yes, in spite of sleeping in and going to bed at a decent time last night). I do like naps. And tomorrow afternoon my friends and I are taking a break and going to get some X-mas shopping done, which is nice because I have nothing done (and frankly I don't know if my parents expected me to) and I want to get things for my friends, at the very least. So I'm kind of looking forward to that. It's two weeks until X-mas exactly, when I shall be home and with my family, and loaded down with chocolate and pistachios, and giggling at my cat going stark raving mad over the turkey again.
And the best thing about today? Is that, technically, at the time that I'm posting this, it's already tomorrow.
