[When Vanille's PORTAL turns on, it does so without her meaning to. The silly thing has fallen out of her little skirt pouch and is broadcasting a lot of noise without her knowledge. In fact, the PORTAL almost gets an up the skirt shot but then she's moving and there are a lot of possibly very misleading noises.]

Cie'th are l'Cie who fail their Focus. They were people once but they failed normally because they ran out of time so their bodies become twisted and contorted by crystals and their hearts are in an enternal state of despair. It's a fate worse than death.

Yeah. [She looks away to where the Cie'th were, where now there's just crystal dust and the ruins of the place she grew up.] It's why it's kinder to kill them because then it's all over, they're gone. Forever.
