I have not entirely mastered any way of filtering this so many of you may feel free to skip this.  Also, I do not know those who would number among Lioriley's friends and I must speak with all of you via this means.  To those who do not know me but know her, I am Veles, her teacher and her guardian of sorts; a polite young troll named Nepeta gave a ( Read more... )

It is always a pleasure to meet one of Lioriley's knights.

[Actually, it's not given that he wanted to smack the one that left and still wants to smack one of the others on a fairly regular basis.]

Keeping an eye on her is what is best in this situation. And letting her know that it is perfectly acceptable for her to say how she feels and to show it.
She is a good friend. She has a large heart for her small stature.

It was Nepeta who told me such a term when we first spoke and discussed my relation to Lioriley and having a single word for it is rather helpful when my role in her life encompasses several things.
She carries a great deal of unnecessary guilt on her shoulders over events in the past that she had no control over.

There will always be differences in translation and words undergo change over time too.
Dragons do not have families in any conventional sense either - we hatch in great clutches but it is impossible to say which dragon is related to another at all.
She...she takes things very personally. I should not be so surprised considering the circumstances that lead to her seeking my aid and it is hardly a failing in her but it does make me worry when I cannot be there for her in person.

I think for some humans it may still mean that as well but they are in the minority and would insist on complicating the issue.

I am indeed a dragon. A red dragon adept at fire and lightning magic and a Seer on top of my vast knowledge.

bUT SOMETIMES IT SEEMS LIKE HUMANS ARE ALSO VIOLENT, qUITE OFTEN,

Humans can express their violence in different ways and focus it more on those they perceive to be less than them; numbers are often an issue. If the group they choose to persecute is the minority, they are happier to carry it out.

i THINK TROLLS ARE THE SAME WAY, iN THOSE THINGS,

Then perhaps like dragons - we keep to ourselves on our island and when our paths cross, the outcomes can be rather ugly to say the least.
