I'm merely reprimanding someone who isn't following the law.

I wouldn't call that 'merely reprimanding'. It might appear to you that this is for the best, but the good is only temporary; the evil you are causing it's permanent and people here won't take that lightly. Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.

If they choose violence then that is their decision. I'm showing what happens when you break the rules.

Not wearing a mask is not to choose violence, you are making excuses for your poor capacity of making things work here.

No, not choosing a mask is not being violent, but it is breaking the law, regardless. If the people choose to rebel because they cannot handle the results of their actions, then they must be taught them.

As Calvin coolidge said, when each citizen submits himself to the authority of law he does not thereby decrease his independence or freedom, but rather increases it. That's the finality of a proper law. To have the individual recognize that he is a part of a larger structure banded together for a common purpose, he becomes more than an individual, he rises to a new dignity of citizenship. Instead of finding himself restricted and confined by rendering obedience to public law, he finds himself protected and defended and in the exercise of increased and increasing rights.

Bad laws, however, are the worst sort of tyranny. This is an exaggerated punishment.

[he didn't mean to surprise he or scare her. He's more calm when he replies this second time.]

Yes, Eden?

Trust me I try to avoid doing that.

[He's silent for a few seconds. He hates this, what he sees, people getting hurt and knowing nothing can change it.]

I just wish there was a way to solve things without recurring to that sort of methods.

They will do as they please so long as they are able. I would not like their pleasure to be your pain.

You are right. [He's touched that she cares.] Neither wouldn't like that with you. Be careful as well my friend.

[She doesn't think he should worry about her. She knows who to answer to.]

Thank you...
