03/ day/ audio/ filtered to Jack
[So Owen's been skulking around his quarters in the Hub ever since Jack let him out of his cell. He hasn't actually bothered to speak to Jack yet, as he is clearly far too busy wallowing in self-pity. He's not sure why he trusted Katie to begin with - he should've realised it was too good to be true. Hell, he's seen aliens possess people before, so he should've stayed awake, right?
He feels worst about the emotions that drove him to attack Jack, because he *knows* how he feels. It's how he's felt since walking into the OR and seeing that thing in Katie's head, that gnawing in the pit of his stomach that's been present since he woke up here and found out about Tosh. He'd tried to open the Rift to get Diane back, would have done anything for Katie or Tosh - but killing Jack won't solve a damn thing, especially when he won't stay dead for long. It's a stupid move to make, and even being possessed by...whatever isn't a decent excuse, not for him.
He even feels guilty about the mess Ianto had to clean up - not to mention dragging his unconscious arse into the cells - and that's just not on, really, feeling bad about anything related to Ianto.
Eventually, he grabs his PORTAL and records a terse message to Jack:]
Saying I wasn't in my right mind is a shit excuse, and you and I both know it, but it's all I've got.
[He clicks off the recording, tosses the device into a corner, and flops down on his bed. There may be a day when he doesn't try to destroy his liver while angsting, but that day is definitely not today.]
