I've just had an idea for a possible second X-Men: First Class big bang: a fusion with xxxHolic.
Oh god.
And Charles would be the shopkeeper, Watanuki-style - meaning if he misjudges the price of a wish the balance will be taken out of him personally. Maybe he is an apprentice, because the previous shopkeeper has given up his/her position [maybe he/she wanted to return to a human life?], and it's taking him some time to grow into the role that he actually had been trained for.
Robes and faintly anachronistic dress?
And then one day there is a young man who finds the shop. Erik Lehnsherr has a wish of some kind. And only the shopkeeper can help him.
Serious possibilities of Charles's character taking a dark turn, with determined!Erik by his side.
