I can't believe its this time of year already....
So I went to work today, got back at 10:00pm. Everything feels so un-christmassy this year. I was asked to work on Christmas day but its normal pay so there is no way in hell I would do it. Last night/this morning I went out with Chie (the girl who Im teaching English) and had a bit of an insane night. Met her at Ebisu (where she lives) and took a cab to a restaurant where they specialise in food from Okinawa. I tried maguro for the first time, its the most expensive raw fish available pretty much and I ended up liking it, I didn't think I would for some reason. Tried lots of other expensive things that I would never be able to afford, t'was lots of fun. Got a phone call from Chie's boss who was drunk and seemed to need some assistance so we hailed another cab to some private hire/upper class karaoke bar which was pretty cool. Gave Chie's boss lots of cola in an attempt to sober him up. Took another cab after that to a bar called Le Bar where they had all these cool mushroom lamps everywhere. Its run by 3 french brothers. In April you can see the cherry blossoms in full bloom from the bar and its popular with semi famous musicians and artists. After Le Bar we took another cab to search for food (bearing in mind it was 4-something AM), we got to all the food places just as they were closing and were pretty unsuccesful in getting anything to eat, then we realised that we had left some stuff at the Karaoke place so we went to get forgotten stuff and they were going to head somewhere else in search for food but I couldn't cope with the partying this hard (hahaha) so they dropped me off before they went on a mission to find food. I can't belive I took 4 cabs in one day, its too insane.. Oh also Chie gave me some flavoured sake which I tried in Kyoto. She knew that I really liked it so she bought me a massive bottle of it for Christmas. I think Im going to have a very merry Christmas :)
