Summary: She hated him so much but due to the fact that she's a scholar of a school Kame's family owned, she needed to take the move for Kame not to pursue his plan on kicking her out of the school even if it means of her being bullied, servant or anything Kame would like to do.
A/N: HOPE YOU LIKE IT THOUGH IT'S NOT AN AKAME LOVE STORY! Supposed to be it should be one-shot but i don't know, i got hooked up with the title and an evil KAME. HAAHAHA.

After the not-so-good encounter with Shota in the grocery due to Kame’s attitude towards the man, Reiko decided to pay a visit to Shota in his apartment hoping he haven’t changed his residency yet.
“WHAT?!” Kame almost spilled the water he is drinking when Reiko asked for a day-off. “Day-off? It’s still Friday. Sunday is your only day-off remember?” Kame reminded her.
“In case you forgot, I wasn’t able to take my day-off last Sunday because of you so I’m taking that day-off today. Fair enough?”
Kame rolled his eyes and mumbled a small “Fine.” with a bit of disappointment. “Why all of a sudden by the way?” he asked Reiko who is arranging her hair.
Reiko looked at Kame’s reflection in the mirror, “I’m visiting a friend and I might be late. I already cooked for your lunch, just heat it and if in case I’m still not here during dinner, you can just order. You’re rich anyways.” Reiko answered and took off without waiting for whatever Kame’s answer would be.
Kame watched the door as it slowly close. “Friend, huh? I wonder.” He fished his phone out and called Junno. “Remember my phone that you destroyed?”
“HUH?” Junno paused and tried to remember if he did something like that, “Mou~ that was nine years ago, Kame.” he whined.
“It’s now time to pay for that. I have some work for you.” Kame told him how he’ll have to pay for the phone that he destroyed nine years ago. “You’re good at it right?”
Junno didn’t reply and Kame knows he won. “I’ll be picking you up any moment now. Don’t make me wait.”
…
“AH!” Reiko exclaimed as she found the apartment where Shota is and good thing the name of Shota is still displayed meaning he hasn’t changed his residence.
“Reiko?” she turned around and found Shota standing a few meters behind her carrying shopping bags and with a somehow shock and happy look. “What are you doing here?” he asked as he walked towards her and opened the door using his key, of course.
“Come in.” he signaled her to come in. “Sorry for all the mess.” He apologized as he quickly get rid of the magazines and books on the center table and put it somewhere.
Reiko smiled, “It’s okay. It’s my fault too for coming out of the blue. I hope I didn’t disturb you.”
“Not really. I’ll make some juice for awhile.”
…
“Are you sure this is his apartment?” Kame asked Junno as he popped his out of the window of his car examining the apartment.
Junno nodded, “Yes. You don’t know the trouble I had undergone just to look for this place.”
Kame smiled at him pitifully and patted his shoulder, “Good job. You’re now free from your debt. Get off the car and go home and never tell anyone about this or you’ll have to face hell.”
Junno rolled his eyes, “What?! You’re making me walk all the way to my house?” he complained with a do-you-know-how-far-my-house-is-from-here tone.
“Obviously.”
…
“So, yeah. I’m really sorry for the way he acted the last time.” Reiko apologized and bowed his head after telling the whole story about her being Kame’s maid for the scholarship.
Shota smiled, “It’s okay. You don’t really have to apologize. It’s that the only thing why you’re here?” he asked somehow.
“Well, yeah and you can contact me anytime. I gave you my number right?” Reiko stood up ready to leave. “I’ll be visiting my mom too since it’s been 2 months since I last went home thanks to my extra job being a maid.”
Shota nodded and smiled, “I see. Take care okay?” he sent Reiko out and wished her good luck.
Meanwhile..
“So I’m right. She asked for a day-off to flirt with that man again?” Kame bit his lips as he saw Reiko being escorted out by Shota and followed her again. “Where is she going again? It’s not the way to the school.”
…
Reiko used the doorbell and was greeted by her mom who opened the gate.
“Reiko!” she hugged Reiko, “I was so worried about you. I went to your school and check your room in the dorm for scholars but it was empty and the students don’t know where you are staying but - “
“Mom.” Reiko stopped her mom from talking, “Don’t worry about me. I’m still studying in that school. I just changed my room. That’s all. Are you cooking for lunch? I’m hungry.”
Her mom smiled and nodded, “Let’s go inside. It will be cooked soon. Good thing I cooked a lot since I was expecting some visitors but they postponed in coming.”
Reiko was about to close the gate when he noticed a familiar car just nearby and if she was right it was the same car near Shota’s apartment. She raised her brow, “Mom, you go first. I’ll just do something.”
…
“Oh shit!” Kame cursed as he noticed that Reiko is walking to his direction. “She noticed me?” he asked hoping she didn’t but failed when the next time he heard some knockings on the window from the outside and it was none other than Reiko. “She did notice me. What the hell shall I tell her?”
*knocks harder*
He slowly opened the window and smiled, “Hi!” he waved his hand somehow afraid.
Reiko sighed, “So I was right after all. It was none other than you. What do you need now? Why are you following me, huh?”
Before Kame could even answer, Reiko’s mom saved him who called her and is now walking to where an argument is about to start. “You’re mom, right?”
“Reiko - “ her mom paused when she noticed Kame inside the car and smiled at him which Kame returned the smile warmly, “Friend of yours?” she asked Reiko.
Reiko hesitantly answered, “Well -“
Kame quickly jumped out off the car and held his hand out, “Kamenashi Kazuya desu. I am Reiko’s friend. Nice meeting you Auntie.” He introduced himself and earned a questioning look from Reiko and a smile from her mom who shook his hands.
“Well then, Kamenashi-kun, if you won’t mind I prepared a lot of food for today, so you might as well eat lunch with us. Is that okay with you?” Reiko’s mom asked and Kame nodded following her from behind and Reiko still on the same spot not removing her deadly stares on him.
“Auntie, huh?” Reiko said as she bumped her shoulder with Kame’s arm but Kame just smiled at her.

While eating, Reiko’s mom can’t help but to interview Kame since it’s the first time she saw her daughter staring madly on Kame and when she saw them awhile ago as if they were arguing like lovers so somehow she believes that the two are ‘secret lovers’ and she’s happy about it.
“So you’re schoolmates, right?” Reiko’s mom asked and the two nodded “How did you come to know each other in that huge school?”
“She was using her pink -“ Reiko kicked him from below the table stopping his story and stared at Reiko who still wears those scary eyes while meeting with his very own eyes as he rubbed the spot where the kick successfully landed.
“During a school activity, he was one of our customers and he happened to forget his wallet. That’s how we came to know each other, right Kamenashi-kun?” Reiko smiled at him fakeness shouting all over the smile and same goes with the story but nonetheless he agreed.
The conversation went on and on.
“You’re the son of the owner of the school?!” Reiko’s mom gasped when Kame slipped.
“N.No-No.” Kame hurriedly answered, “What I mean is the son is my friend.”
Upon hearing Kame’s cover-up Reiko wondered why the guy didn’t tell the truth to his mom that he really is the son of the owner of the school and also add the facts that all the time Kame was smiling - a real smile not the smile that he shows in the school and obviously Kame was enjoying himself and it made her happy seeing Kame like that.
…
It was already late at the night when they decided to go home.
“Please take care of Reiko, Kamenashi-kun.” Reiko’s mom bowed.
Kame bowed too, “I will.” Kame answered sincerely not just by words. He looked at Reiko and back to her mom his eyes meeting hers, “I will protect and take care of your daughter, Ma’am.”
Reiko’s heart stopped from beating for awhile after hearing those words. The words reached her, it felt sincere and full of honesty and also warm. She turned her gaze to Kame who her mother was hugging like her own son and Kame smiling like hugging her own mother too and that scene hits her, she didn’t hear Kame mentioning about his mother even once. “Why?”
“We’ll be going then.”
…
Inside the car Reiko wanted to ask it to him but she can’t find the courage what if she’ll be hitting a painful spot about opening the topic, she doesn’t want that.
“Spill it.” Kame said. He has been observing her and he knows Reiko wanted to ask something but is afraid. “What is that that you wanna tell me?”
“HUH?” Reiko was startled, Kame noticed her intentions, “It’s nothing big really. Forget about it.”
“I won’t be mad. Just say it.” He insisted.
Reiko took a deep breath, “Why- why are you not mentioning anything about your family? Your mom?” she finally said.
Kame pulled out the car from the question, “Why are you asking it?”
“It’s just that, I haven’t heard it out from your mouth even once. I was just wondering but you’re not really required to answer.”
“You wanted to know why?” Kame asked and Reiko hesitantly nodded. Kame started the car once again and drove faster than usual and stopped in front a huge mansion and got out of the car and so was Reiko.
“What are we doing here?” Reiko asked watching the mansion.
“This is where my mom lives.” Kame started, “10 years ago, I was still 14 years old. I saw my dad hurting my mom and as much as I wanted to protect I wasn’t able to do anything my dad is stronger than me and it ended up my mom covering me using her body and receiving the punch that was supposed for me. It was rainy that night, he kicked her out of the house and after that he introduced her bitch at the same night while my mom is outside wet in the rain and crying. After that incident, he told me not to see my mom or even try to look for her or she’ll have to face the consequence if he knew I disobeyed his order.”
Reiko nodded, “But you searched for her, right?”
Kame nodded, “A man found her and kept her in that house. I heard that the man proposed to her and she accepted it. By now, she’s married and maybe has a new family.” He answered.
Just then the gate opened automatically revealing the inside of it then a few meters away is a car and they think that the car belongs inside the mansion. Kame turned his back to hide his face in case his mom is inside the car.
“Reiko, let’s go home.” Kame mumbled but didn’t receive any replies. He turned around and found Reiko talking to one of the guards and cursed her. He saw the guard nodded and went inside without closing the gate and Reiko standing in the same spot as if waiting for the comeback of the guard. And he was right, the guard came back and Reiko bowed as if thanking him. After that she runs to his direction smiling and pulled him going back to the gate.
“What are you doing?” Kame freed his wrist from Reiko’s hand. “We’re going home.”
“We’re NOT!” Reiko said and smiled before pulling him again.
Kame froze on the spot when he saw a very familiar figure standing outside of the gate. She was wearing a white and simple dress and she was smiling. He can clearly see the tears rolling on her cheeks - it was his mother.
“Okaa-san..” Kame mumbled his knees are trembling and growing weak just then he received a hard whack on his back - it was from Reiko.
He looked at her and she smiled and gave another whack on his back before encouraging him again, “She’s waiting. Don’t let your mom wait for you, moron.” Reiko said teary-eyed but still smiling. “Go!” she pushed him.
Kame nodded and smiled, “I know.”

90% of my time is for school. WTH?!
It’s really tiring. Never thought being 4th year HS is this tiring.
Hoho. xD but still I enjoy after class hours because we’re playing hide-and-seek.
Hahaha. :DDD it started last Thursday but only a few of us. All are girls except for one boy and the only place we can hide is inside the main bldg. it was our rule.
Then yesterday which is Friday, almost half of the class joined and so the rule changed from the main bldg to the whole campus area. WTF?! And the worst is I wasn’t able to join because my group is the monitor and I am the leader. Haha. XDD
I just finished this now since this morning around 8am, i started writing but i just finished it now. lol
