Harry Potter thoughts and stuff
How awesome was Harry Potter?! Of course there were some things that I wasn’t completely happy with such as the fact that they cut out the Gaunt ring reference, like I know that Dumbledore only hypothesised that Voldemort went back and killed his parents but that would have been cool to see and would have explained the existence of the ring in Dumbledore’s desk rather than just some gay flashes of Voldemort when Harry picked it up. Also, I thought there would have been more of a battle at Hogwarts when the Death Eaters came and Snape escaped…I don’t think I was being unreasonable in expecting such a scene. However, overall I was quite happy with it and found it pretty funny in parts, but I wasn’t feeling the Harry/ Ginny connection as it seemed a little forced. Ron/Hermione are just so cute (but I’d go for McLaggen) and I can’t wait until DH…even Emma Watson didn’t annoy me and she has definitely toned down those eyebrows.
Well I went into work today to clean off my desk from last term and I threw out so much paper! I recycled it but I still felt bad lol. I can now see the wood of my desk and not just a mass of papers. It depresses me a little thinking about going back to work on Monday but I am also excited to see the kids, is that sad? I think I am going to be a little stricter this term because I was a little easy on them seeing how it was my first term.
It’s not fair how fast these holidays have gone lol far out Brussel sprouts! I think we need 3 weeks at least, but then I suppose more people would complain that teachers get enough holidays…whingers. Siiiiiigh at least this term is only 10 weeks compared and the last is only 9 weeks…score! I’m thinking of getting my year 7’s onto livejournal because we’re doing a poetry unit and I think they would find it cool having their poems on the internet, they’re so cute lol.
