Take me to the beach...then the mountains?

How many times have I done the disappearing act? I'm bad at the posting "I'm going off for a few days" deal; no one seems to care anyway. Now do NOT be mistaken, that is not to garner the "no, we love you!" comments. I'm just being brutally honest. 'Sides, it's not like I've been involving myself in your lives anyway, so it seems to be fair trade. :P The thought of having to catch up with my flist after two weeks is daunting.

ANYWAY.

So yes, I went off for a few days, spending two days at Laiya, Batangas, Philippines with some co-workers. BEAUTIFUL PLACE. And we had tons of fun! I got tired mostly of the bajillion photo ops we did, it's like we spent half of our time there taking pictures of ourselves (with the view, of course) than swimming on the water!

The water was warm and incredibly clear; we could see the fish and corals at the bottom, especially in the deep parts when we went kayaking. Beautiful rock formations. We stayed at La Luz Resort, and we shelled out a lot of money (thank you to the contribution, doctors XD) but it was worth it.

After that it was three days of work again, then off with the family this time to Baguio City the proclaimed summer capital of the Philippines. And that's because it's where people can escape the effin' heat in the city/lowlands, because it's a city on a mountain (or multiple mountains close together, I think).

I didn't enjoy this one that much, mostly because it's a creepy place. I'm used to the hustle & bustle of the metropolitan; even if it's called a city, it's so dark at night time, not a lot of street lights, and add to that the pine trees all around. We stayed at Summerhomes in Pateros St., which isn't near a lot of houses that are populated, most of them are summer houses and seems vacant at that time. Just effin' creepy.

Pictures...er, too tired to upload right now. It's 1 something in the morning, just got home from work an hour ago and we have this meeting at 8 AM?! Fuck that. I'll get there at 9. Hee.

I'm still attempting getting a crack at icon-making, and here's some of the product:

More here @ metamorfozis
