Bulleted!
- I was trying to not comment on the Virginia Polytech shootings, but I think it deserves to be acknowledged by everyone who is aware. It's...there are no words. I feel a mixture of being shocked, appalled, annoyed, disgusted, and saddened by this that I had to take a deep breath to release the knotted thing in my chest. Someone in my flist (I can't remember who) said that school is supposed be a safe place...and it's scary and disheartening that it doesn't seem to be that way anymore.
- It is so freaking HOT. I took a shower three hours ago and I haven't moved much (other than to go eat and to type on the keyboard) and I feel really sticky and disgusting and sweaty. Ugh. Last night at around 2 AM, I was walking along the street (going to my car as I go home from work) and I could literally feel the heat fumes from the cement. Disgusting. And it's supposed to be hotter in May! Lordy.
- We (sis and I) are now on episode 8 of the first season of Hana Yori Dango, and our obsession has reached impossible levels. We need want the songs played on the show. Anyone? Pleeeeaaaassee? :D
- I didn't go to work today on account of (1) being lazy, and (2) wanting to finish HYD season 1. More of being lazy actually, because I was in charge of the entire unit yesterday for the first time with only a junior with me, and it was rather traumatising. I can't take being a charge nurse anymore. I'm always lagging behind with the stuff I need to finish and it's frustrating me to no end. I'm getting the "I don't want to go to work" anymore feeling again. I hate feeling incompetent.
- Paypal is finally allowing accounts from the Philippines! YESSSS. Now I just have to find some use for having one before actually signing up. But it's good to know that I can pay via Paypal now. Yessss.
- I got the letter from Bridgid! WHEEE. The card is really really cute. I can't remember what was on it right this moment since my head hurts from the heat and lack of sleep, but I remember a 'Diego' being mentioned...hmm. XD Will have to run to the bookstore and send a reply! :) Fun times!
It's 1:30 AM and it feels like it's the middle of the day from the HEAT. Guhhh. Can you even imagine the temperature in the afternoon?!
ETA: I checked the weather bulleting and ughhh. 26°C to 36°C, getting as high as 36.5°C? That's like, borderline normal human body temperature! Someone take the heat away.
