if you didn't know...
Went on MIA for a bit. Real life and other more interesting stuff. Just installed all the released Sims 2 expansion packs and I'm trying to figure out how the heck those sims run a business. Fun fun.
Also went on Intravenous Therapy Training; just finished the three-day course today. Major work memorizing a lot of things (oh well, what is new =\) for just two days. And part of the return demonstration was the actual IV insertion with your partner. It stung so badly, and I think I have a moderate tolerance for pain. My partner and I got it on just one shot though, so we're all proud.
Was staying away from the computer since last week, actually. I've seen Children of Dune played and re-played it and I've gotten over the hype a bit. I really want to a new set of icons for myself and replace the ones I have, plus a new layout but I can't make anything! Frustrating.
So I haven't been reading my flist until tonight, and I've only read the recent ones. If there's something important that I should've read or replied to, do inform me by a comment? :)
Ooh, and so I heard about Alias spoilers -- a Sarkney mission! Ohmygod, my insides are flailing. Why did it take them two and a half seasons to think of doing this again!? The last mission they went to way back in Season 2 was too short for my liking. XD
Uh...other fandom news I missed? The Tribeca Film Festival is opening/has opened and I'm awaiting reddiej's verdict on Driving Lessons. I hope to the movie gods that it'll make its way to our shores.
I got The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova last Sunday. I haven't started it yet because of the IV training, but with that and Sims 2, I'll probably be in a modified MIA version. XD I just got Photoshop CS2 two weeks ago and I have yet to play with it because I'm getting frustrated; I think I'll continue staying away from it for awhile. I'm staring at bluebear_74's layout right now, and it's creating some wave of inspiration so we'll see! *crosses fingers for myself*
