"Why can't you just go find a nice Japanese girl like all the white guys who come to Japan do?"
So went with some of the UWAnime gang to see Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift last night. I went to see it for one obvious reason (besides hanging out with people), and had absolutely no expectations of it so I wasn't disappointed. =P Actually, that's not entirely true; I was kinda disappointed that despite it being set in Japan, the number of main characters who were actually Japanese totalled zero. -_-' They had people who were pretending to be Japanese, and the actress for Sailor Mars in live action Sailor Moon, but she hardly said a word and just stood around looking pretty. They should have had that cute Japanese guy who started the race near the beginning as a main character, hehehe. ^_- I don't understand why they can't just cast Japanese actors for people who are supposed to be Japanese. *sigh* Other than that, enjoyed seeing Tokyo, and some brainless entertainment. Plus it's been a while since I've been to the cinema. ^^
After I got home, I lay down with a blanket, closed my eyes and listened to a Marimite Drama CD - 茨の森 (Ibara no Mori) Arc. I'm really starting to gain an appreciation for drama CDs; it's like having a story read out to you by great seiyuu while you rest your eyes. ^^ Despite having seen the anime and read the manga for this story already, hearing the drama CD version of this sad arc still affected me. *tears* ;_;
Earlier today, listened to some of the trance stuff starph0x burnt for me (thanks! ^^) and found most of it pretty good. But there is a limit to how much trance I can listen to continuously before my brain goes to mush, so had to stop after a while. ^^;; But I really like some of the stuff there! ^^V
