I liked this movie a lot lot more than I thought I would. Eric's body is very nice but actually I was also very taken with his acting, very moving as you say. It also managed to to RUIN the book, as soooo many film versions of books do (hello, Slumdog what a pile of poooooo compared to the orig book Q & A - IMHO...)

Haven't read the book (thankfully, I guess). I haven't had time to read very much in over a year. It's hard enough squeezing in a movie. :P But yes, definitely a very moving performance. Haven't seen Slumdog, though.

Sorry, the slothy-paws were clearing slipping on the keyboard - mEANT to say that Time Trav. movie did NOT ruin the book, so safe to read it! Wheras Slumdog, the book is excellent and the film is not only not excellent but makes the most infuriating changes from the book. I know they have to make some changes but in this case, some things were changed which were so fundamental to the book and for no apparent reason. But I can imagine you don't have much time to read right now, given RL!
