A few days ago, my phone started this annoying and constant habit of CALLING RANDOM PEOPLE at ALL hours of the day and night, and then hanging up on them. This caused countless return phone calls to come in, some of which were voice mails of angry people threatening me to stop calling their house/cell/grandma and cursing me out. I have apologized to more strangers for my phone's behavior than for my kids'.
I had dropped my phone and cracked off a hinge, which (surprisingly) turned out to be an important functional component, and not merely a handy way to keep the ear- and mouth-pieces together. :-P Electronic bits were exposed, and my phone became possessed by some sort of autodialing demon. :-/ We tried to get the phone company to fix it, but they had never HEARD of this happening, so that led to today's delivery of a shiny new red camera phone with web access. My last phone is one I've had for eons; it didn't even have a camera. It was one of the first flip phones. So this newer, thin flip phone feels wrong and bizarre and there's no antenna and GAH! I'll adjust.
My point is, if you are so inclined to share it, feel free to email me your phone number. International numbers are welcome; I'm considering going VoIP, and one never knows. *shrug* My email is Illuminated (dot) Sin (at) Gmail (dot) com and I will not share your info.
And if you're not comfortable with me having your number, that's fine too. I'm not really a phone person; I don't call and chat. I just like having numbers in case, say, I'm traveling in your state and I get lost; I may call you and say, "Hey, I'm lost, how do I get where I'm going?" or to get together for coffee, or find out what local diners/motels are okay if I'm stuck and get desperate, or whatever. I just like to be prepared. My fear is to be stuck someplace foreign to me and not know a soul there. This actually has happened to me more times than is even funny anymore; ask hubby about being trapped in the desert during the international balloon festival sometime. No hotels, and dead car. Fun.
I'm STILL getting angry calls from people saying I called them earlier today and hung up. *sigh* Hopefully that'll end soon.
Have a good Thursday. :P
